04. Town Hall 1872, 2002

In order to see Town Hall mural you need to stand at the city council chambers and look North, tilt your head up and you will see this mural done by Scott Teeple in 2002. Scott really is credited with starting public art in Chico and talk to businesses and convince them to let him paint murals on their walls or inside their buildings there are many many examples of Scott's work all over Chico this one is precious he loved history and he found an old postcard of the first town hall from 1872 and he replicated it on this wall that you can see unfortunately it has gotten quite a bit of damage chica's weather is brutal you know it is so hot in the summer and it takes its toll on the pain but it is wonderful to see Town Hall 1872 directly across from our current city hall.
